Top pick: #2 (WILL TAKE CHARGE) (6-5) - Very hard-hitting sort, since returning from a seven week break in late July this son of "Unbridled's Song" has gone 7-3-4-0, all in G1 or G2 stakes. He enters off a career best figure at Santa Anita on March 8th, is working fast locally, and he's 2-for-3 on this surface. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Golden Lad) (4-1) - One of two entered by trainer Todd Pletcher and the pair race uncoupled. This late bloomer finished "off the board" when debuting in late May at Belmont and has gone 7-5-2-0 since. Speed/stalker was an easy winner on this surface in the (G3) "Razorback" on March 15th and earned a career best "figure." Very dangerous.
3rd pick: #3 (Right to Vote) (12-1) - Longshot has some early speed and won the local $100K "Essex" stakes on Feb. 15. He tired last out after setting a quick pace in the "Razorback" when beaten 11 1/2 lengths by "Golden Lad." May grab a share at a big price.
4th pick: #4 (Carve) (12-1) - Another longshot, he moves way up in class after an impressive score here facing weaker on March 9th. Very strong finisher was racing off a 3 1/2 month break that day and he would love a fast and/or contested pace to develop.
