2nd pick: #2 (Scrutinizer) (7-2) - Dating back to mid-July, this hard-hitting veteran has gone 6-4-1 1, with all of those starts coming in dirt sprints. He won a stakes for Iowa-breds at Prairie Meadows Sept. 2 and was a two-length winner here Feb. 22. Speed/stalker breaks just off the rail and should be in this every step.
3rd pick: #11 (Midnight Las Vegas) (4-1) - He finished about three lengths behind 'Ruler of the Nile' here Feb. 1, then was four in back of 'Scrutinizer' Feb. 22. He returned March 28 to defeat that rival by a 'neck,' and this very consistent 5yo is in the win mix.
