Top pick: #5 (OUR MAN CLINT) (2-1) - He's been competitive in all his starts 5-0-3-2 and has done so on dirt, turf, and "poly". Colt just missed last out at this tag on the Golden Gate grass and one run type is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #9 (The Alameda Kid) (5-1) - No speed type has made up good ground in his last pair racing at this level on the Golden gate turf. Working nicely since his latest, he's racing on real dirt for the first time. Stretch threat.
3rd pick: #10 (Kimnjet) (9-2) - Gelding has been freshened up for almost two months and has been racing evenly since coming off a 5 month layoff in late January. Working well and he has enough positional speed to not let this post hurt his chances.
4th pick: #1 (Swing for Defence) (10-1) - Longshot has the rail and will be dropping into a claimer and racing on conventional dirt, both for the first time. No speed type is capable of getting a slice at a big price if he takes to it.
