Top pick: #6 (VAULTED SON) (7-2) - Speedy colt finished second at this level on Sept. 9. It was his best since returning from a 12 1/2 month layoff on July 16th and his best ever from a figure angle. Colt gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #7 (Irish Ninja) (5-2) - Very lightly-raced and he broke his maiden here at this distance on Sept. 7. It was his first since April 17th and first for trainer Laura Bealmar. Stalker has room for upside and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Phil's Wildcat) (4-1) - Gelding moves from turf to dirt after a solid try at this level going two-turns on the local lawn Sept. 23. He likes the dirt 4-1-2-1 and one-run type should get a solid pace to close into.
4th pick: #1 (Shirota) (8-1) - He tired badly here at this level on Sept. 21. It was his first facing winners and came off an excellent maiden win here Aug. 30. Has the rail and think he'll be competitive at a nice price.
