Top pick: #6 (TULITA) (5-1) - Filly has gone 5-1-3-0 on the grass since since coming off an 80 day freshening on April 19th, and switching to the barn of Mike Maker. She missed by a "neck" at this level last out at Penn National and 3-year-old can make her Mountaineer debut a winning one.
2nd pick: #4 (Misia Luisa) (3-1) - Stretch-out sprinter comes off a pair of back-to-back second-place finishes here and catches a field wihout much other speed signed on. In shape and very dangerous on the lead.
3rd pick: #3 (Bewitching Anna) (5-2) - Mare enters in good form and has been sharp on this course in two straight. Strong closer just missed at this level on Aug. 24 and gets some extra ground to run over this evening.
4th pick: #8 (Lady of Rivendell) (9-2) - No-speed type got a fast pace to rally into last out and got up in the final strides to win a starter-qallowance on this course Aug. 24. Mare would benefit greatly if a fast and/or contested pace were to develop.
