Top pick: #6 (ABELIA) - Mare enters in good form sprinting and will be stretching-out to a distance she's done very well at in the past (10-3-4-1). Her "off" track record is fine and she meets a group that is sub-par for the level. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Straight Scoop) - Freshened-up since early July, veteran mare has fine early speed and has finished second in 3-of-6 local starts since coming here from Oaklawn Park last spring. T.D. Houghton is back aboard and if ready, this daughter of "Alphabet Soup" should be involved from start to finish.
3rd pick: #8 (Cliftty's Dynagirl) - Mare sprinted clear at this level and distance August 17th and held gamely to finish second. Capable of stalking, and that's a plus with "Scoop" possibly intent on taking the early lead.
