Race was his best yet, his first ever on this surface, and it came when trainer Kevin Chandler added lasix for the first time. Son of "Posse" has come back with a nice work at the trainer's home base of River Downs and draws the rail for this attempt. Wins this with a repeat of his latest effort.
2nd pick: #7 (Sirsparklingsparky) - First-time starter is in a good barn (Bill Martin) and this gelding has a pair of fine gate drills on his short work resume. Most of the others that have started haven't shown much, so he need not be too talented to factor in his initial outing.
3rd pick: #4 (Cal Corredor) - Charles Town shipper has been competitive in both starts there and last out finished third of nine, beaten only a length, after a very wide trip from an outside post. Former rider John McKee has this gelding spotted where he should be competitive again this evening.
