Top pick: #11 (SMOKIN GRACIE) (3-1) - Daughter of "Smoke Glacken" has been freshened up since April 30 when she missed by a head going five furlongs on the Atlantic City turf facing "open" special weight competition. Excellent debut and trainer Tim Hills has wisely given her almost six weeks off to get ready for her second appearance. Grey 3yo moves from turf to dirt and faces fellow New Jersey breds in this attempt.
2nd pick: #8 (Final Heiress) (6-1) - She also moves in with state-breds after showing some good early speed on March 30 facing special weights at Laurel. A good barn (Ben Perkins Jr), and this filly took a lot of betting action in her first two appearances.
3rd pick: #3 (She's From Boston) (6-1) - She was competitive in her first pair at this level last fall, then was in "over her head" when facing males in the $60K "Jersey Juvenile" herer on Oct. 6. Her work tab suggests she's ready off the eight month layoff.
4th pick: #1 (Love That Kelly) (12-1) - Unraced since Oct., she raced evenly sprinting on the grass at Belmont facing $50K "open" maidens. Lasix is added, she goes turf to dirt, has the rail, and is a factor if ready.
