Top pick: #4 (MUNNINGS) - Lightly raced and beautifully-bred colt showed a lot of promise in a brief campaign last season at age two. He's looked great in winning his last pair, both at Belmont and he'll be trying two-turns today for the first time. Working well and he's been pointed to this by his trainer Todd Pletcher for some time now. Can "upset" the favorite.
2nd pick: #6 (Rachel Alexandra) - Not much to add to her write-up as most everyone is familiar with the "Preakness"(G1) heroine. Big and talented and she's working super for this race. Turns on this course are pretty "tight" and she has a target on her back, so to speak. She'll have to really work hard at a short price to prevail. It would be no surprise to see her in the winner's circle again.
3rd pick: #5 (Atomic Rain) - This is his home track and he's coming into this sharp for trainer Kelly Breen. He's had some foot problems the past 10 days or I'd like him a bit more. Likes the local footing and he's a runner that still has some upside to him. Don't just dismiss.
