Top pick: #6 (CAMP PARTY) (3-1) - Gelding showed good early speed before tiring racing here for twice this price facing "open" $25K claimers on May 18. Race was his first since late March and his connections drop him to a new low in price and have him facing fellow Jersey-breds this afternoon. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (I'm on Fire) (5-2) - Returning from a 5 1/2 month layoff just 15 days ago, he raced close up through-out on a sloppy track after breaking from an outside post and held strongly to finish third of nine, beaten a length. Home-bred is brought back quickly and is a win candidate from on, or just off the lead.
3rd pick: #8 (Our Nino) (7-2) - He's only won once in 23 starts, but comes into this off a solid effort on May 25 when he ran fourth and was only 1 1/2 lengths back of "Fire". Can factor, but he must avoid getting hung widest from this outside slot.
4th pick: #7 (Financial Mission) (5-1) - He has a bit of talent and could grab a small share, but he'll need to improve alot to threaten the top two picks.
