Top pick: #6 (FANTASTIC STYLE) (7-2) - Lightly raced daughter of 'Harlan's Holiday' has been freshened up since winning a 7-furlong stakes at Santa Anita May 16. A career best overall, she's working nicely, and this filly may have a bright future.
nd pick: #5 (Sunday Rules) (5-2) - Undefeated (5-for-5) Cal bred has plenty of early speed, but seems to be able to rate just a bit in the first 1/4 mile. Home bred is a double stakes winner vs. fellow state breds, and she's working very fast at Santa Anita for this attempt. Obvious win candidate.
rd pick: #7 (Warren's Veneda) (2-1) - G1 stakes winner is cutting back to a sprint for the first time since last Nov. Strong finisher has a new rider (Talamo) and should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into. Must be left in the win mix, but at a short price.
th pick: #8 (Harlington's Rose) (20-1) - Longshot is racing third back from a 2 1/2 month layoff and is another that has some late kick. A small slice at a big price is her ceiling.
th pick: #2 (Clearly Confused) (15-1) - Like 'Harlington,' she may pass enough during the stretch run to get a minor award at long odds.
