Top pick: #3 (BLAME IT ON TEKELA) (5-2) - The probable favorite, he's finished second in four of his last five starts and did so here last September. He's been facing tougher groups than this and should break his maiden this afternoon.
2nd pick: #5 (Wild ) (4-1) - Lightly-raced, he enters off an even fourth place finish at Santa Anita for a $30K tag June 5. It was his first off a Jeff Mullins claim and barn drops him in class, removes his blinkers, and cuts him back a bit in distance. Believe he's the main danger.
3rd pick: #6 (Pyrotechnics) (3-1) - Veteran maiden has some early speed and finished fourth for twice this price in a switched contest May 14 at Santa Anita. The drop can only help and he should factor against this group.
4th pick: #7 (Lucky Pirate) (6-1) - Lots of changes for this one. He's dropping into a claimer, switches from 'poly' to dirt, and does so as a NEW gelding. Working fast and it's noted that this 3-year-old cost $100K back in 2013.
