Top pick: #5 (CERNOBBIO) (7-2) - Veteran maiden ran a career best two back when he missed by a 1/2 length at this level on the Santa Anita dirt. He followed that up with an even effort on the Del Mar "poly" and can take this on the switch back in surface.
2nd pick: #4 (Go Goldie Go) (2-1) - The probable favorite, he's been working extremely fast for his debut and is from a capable first out barn (Jeff Mullins 17%). An obvious win candidate if he runs to his am moves.
3rd pick: #7 (Aperfectdaytofly) (5-2) - Speed/stalker has been freshened up since October when he finished second and third in a pair facing a tougher at Santa Anita. He's working steadily, drops to a new low, and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #8 (Preordained) (8-1) - He hasn't shown much in his first pair against tougher and has been freshened up since early Sept. Claimed by his current connections for $62.5K they drop him down to race for $20K. Tough call.
