Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (GAME ON AT MIDNITE) (9-2) - $400,000 daughter of 'Midnight Lute' is one of three well bred fillies making their belated debuts. Three-year-old is working fast for trainer Bob Baffert and she's owned by the same people as 'American Pharoah.' All of her published drills are local and they include some impressive gate moves.
nd pick: #5 (Makena) (3-1) - She cost $320,000 back in March of 2014. Filly has been sharp in both starts and last out at Del Mar Nov 6 she finished second of 10 despite breaking slowly. She's worked twice since and is making back-to-back starts for the first time. A strong win candidate.
rd pick: #8 (So Sweetitiz) (8-1) - Grey filly just missed hwne debuting here Sept 18. However, she tired badly as the heavy favorite in a follow up start Oct 16 at Santa Anita. Freshened up since, daughter of 'Grand Slam' is a threat with her 'A' game.
th pick: #11 (Longstocking) (6-1) - No-speed type has rallied while wide in both outings. She was bet in each and last out checked in third of 12, beaten just under six lengths. Working fast for her first since last December, she can factor if ready.
th pick: #1 (Caradini) (10-1) - She finished close up in a grass sprint at Del Mar Nov 13. Daughter of 'Bernardini' had some traffic issues at the break or she may have won that afternoon. She'll need a 'heady' ride in this large field breaking from the rail.
