2nd pick: #4 (Clyde's Pride) (5-2) - Lightly raced home-bred was an easy and visually impressive maiden winner going 5.5 furlongs Nov. 9 at Del Mar. It was his first ever on the dirt and first following 4.5 months on the sidelines. 3yo won off a major trainer switch to Jerry Hollendorfer and is a strong candidate to make it two in a row.
3rd pick: #1 (Joe Jackson) (5-1) - One of two multiple winners entered, and this gelding has done so four times. Stretch runner has the rail, runs second back off a seven-week break, and is a late threat here.
