Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (FAST AS CASS) (7-2) - He tired at Del Mar facing tougher at this distance Aug. 15. 4yo raced just off a solid pace but hung a bit in the final furlong. He has some back class, drops to a new low, and I give him a slight edge.
2nd pick: #7 (I Can Do This) (5-2) - The morning line and probable favorite, stretch runner switches back to the dirt after an even effort following a slow start at this trip on the Del Mar grass Aug. 24. He's dropping down to a tag he's nibbled at in the past and is dangerous with his best.
3rd pick: #5 (Broke Away Grey) (2-1) - A lightly raced gelding, he has no early speed but has been competitive in three of his four starts despite that fact. He ran third at Del Mar at this level Sept. 1 in his first with Lasix administered and he should love the long stretch here.
4th pick: #1 (Indy Jones) (10-1) - He needed 11 starts to get his maiden win which came going 7 furlongs at Del Mar Aug. 11. Stalker is stretching out, has the rail, and he's capable of getting a share at a big price.
