Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (JEWELED) (2-1) - One of two entered by trainer Bob Baffert she missed by a 1/2 length Aug. 2 at Del Mar racing for a $62,5000 claiming tag. It was her first start back from an 11 month layoff and she's been working fast since. Looks set for a big effort.
2nd pick: #2 (Starlet Storm) (4-1) - The second of the Baffert pair, she tired when debuting here almost a year ago. Working fast, blinkers go on, and this $250,000 daughter of 'The Factor' is a threat if ready.
3rd pick: #4 (Cool Munnings) (3-1) - Filly is switching from turf to dirt and stretching out a furlong. Away slowly when debuting in a five furlong grass sprint at Del Mar Aug. 10, she rushed to to set a quick and pressured pace before weakening to finish a close up fourth. Heavily bet that day, she's an obvious contender.
4th pick: #7 (Phantom Proton) (8-1) - Blinkers go on filly who showed little at this level Aug. 11 at Del Mar. However, it was her first start since late October and she most likely needed the race. She's worked fast since and should enjoy the long stretch here. Price play.
