Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #9 (PEEDIE) (4-1) - One of two entered by trainer Doug O'Neill and both are home breds from the large Reddam operation. This colt raced very wide before weakening to finish a distant third when debuting at this level going 4.5 furlongs June 3. The winner scored by almost 8 lengths so this colt was only 2 out of the place spot. Working fast and I like his chances.
2nd pick: #8 (Nice Haircut) (5-1) - The second of the O'Neill trained pair, he switches back to the dirt after going a mile on the grass June 24. Colt had excuses that day and in his prior start he had rallied to finish second sprinting on the dirt. Colt should love the long stretch here and is a win candidate at a square price.
3rd pick: #5 (Oliver) (3-1) - The probable favorite, he rallied to finish a close up third when debuting at this level and distance June 15 at Santa Anita. Nice effort and colt must be left in the mix.
