Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (AVO) (5-2) - Reddam runner has been competitive in two of three starts since dropping into claimers. She rallied to finish third here at this tag and trip Aug. 28 and did so despite lunging at the break. She gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #5 (Blue Cilantro) (2-1) - Not sure what happened here Sept. 12 as she was pulled up after racing just off a quick pace. It did come facing much tougher and she had been competitive in her first pair. Apparently it was nothing serious as she's brought back in two weeks and worked on Sept. 20. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Geistreiter) (5-1) - Debuting filly by 'Ghostzapper' worked a bullet half-mile from the gate at Del Mar Sept. 5. Bred for speed, she need not be anything special to factor first out against this group.
4th pick: #1 (Papa's Lass) (6-1) - Un-raced since July 12, she showed early speed before tiring here that day at this level. Working fine, she draws the rail and trainer Marty Jones adds blinkers.
