Top pick: #8 (PASSINAFLASH) (3-1) - He's taking a big drop in class and moving from turf to dirt for the O'Neill barn. He finished second in an 'off the turf' contest facing tougher May 14. One-run type should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Hazardous Dream) (7-2) - He's another dropping down. Gelding tired while racing wide June 5 at Santa Anita in a bit of a disappointing effort. He's worked fast here since and it's a plus to see Talamo stick with him.
3rd pick: #1 (Desert Dream) (5-1) - Lightly-raced and improving, he's racing off a 4-month break and is stretching out in distance for the first time. Working nicely and a threat from his inside post.
4th pick: #5 (Screaming Tap) (20-1) - Long shot has some speed and will take them as far as he can at a very big price.
5th pick: #6 (Aaron Again) (5-1) - Another with some speed. Lightly-raced 5-year-old has finished fourth in his last pair, both at this $20K tag. I believe a minor award is his ceiling.
