2nd pick: #11 (Take It Easyplease) - Filly 'won' at Del Mar going seven-furlongs at this tag Aug. 30th, but was disqualified and placed 4th. In shape, and an obvious win candidate. In fact I almost made her the top choice.
3rd pick: #5 (My Rose) - Debuting filly by 'More Than Ready' has been in steady training since early June. Trainer Phil D'Amato is capable first out, and he wins at a 20% rate when teamed up with jockey Tiego Pereira.
4th pick: #1 (Altaira) (4-1) - Lightly raced and improving, she's racing third off a long layoff and does so with blinkers on. Has the rail and is a stretch threat.
5th pick: #2 (Anna Caprina) (15-1) - 4yo has had trouble at the start in her last pair and is capable of getting a piece of this at long odds with a 'clean' getaway.
