Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (SWEET JUDY) (5-2) - One of only two entered with racing experience, she's working above average for her first race since debuting here last December. She raced evenly facing tougher that afternoon and had some serious traffic issues at the 1/2 mile pole. Spotted nicely by trainer Mike Puype and he wins at a soild 20% clip off of long absences.
2nd pick: #7 (Ghost Lady) (9-2) - Filly makes her debut off a sharp half-mile gate breeze Aug 28 at Del Mar. Capable barn (George Gutierrez) has her set to be competitive first out
3rd pick: #5 (Sweetchinaprincess) (5-1) - Debuting filly has some sharp works showing, but trainer Eric Kruljac rarely has one ready first out. The a.m. drills are too sharp to ignore.
4th pick: #1 (To Be Ava) (7-2) - Away slowly when debuting on the Del Mar turf Aug 24, she raced both wide and evenly once in stride. Barn brings her back quickly, drops her down in class, and switches her to the dirt.
