Both are making their first start and each has the normal fast works for the 'Hall of Famer.' This Kaleem Shah home bred has Marty Garcia aboard for the 18% first out trainer.
2nd pick: #3 (Unvited) (3-1) - The second of the Baffert runners has worked her seven times since early August. All but one are well above average and it's noted that the vacationing Raf Bejarano is in for the mount.
3rd pick: #2 (Papa Papa Papa) (5-1) - Debuting son of 'Forestry' also has been working fast locally and his trainer (Mark Glatt) is having a strong year. If both from the Baffert barn go, he may sneak away at a big price.
4th pick: #7 (Big Finish) (5-1) - One of only two entered with previous experience, colt set a quick and pressured pace and held well to finish third August 27 at Del Mar facing a bit weaker. Improving since his July 18 debut, he worked a solid half-mile at Santa Anita Sep 8.
