Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (MIDNIGHT MYSTERY) (2-1) - Grey son of 'War Front' debuts off of some very quick works at Del Mar. In the barn of Bob Baffert, trainer won with eight debuting juveniles at the recently completed meet there. Colt will be very tough if he runs to his a.m. drills.
2nd pick: #1 (Tut) (7-2) - One of two entered by trainer Doug O'Neill, this colt sold for $500,000 in August of 2017 at Saratoga as a select yearling. He has some sharp works showing including a fine half-mile from the gate at Del Mar Sept. 1.
3rd pick: #5 (Gleyber) (4-1) - The second of the pair from trainer O'Neill, colt tired late to lose by just over 3 lengths when debuting at Del Mar Aug. 12. He's worked twice since and it's noted that Bejarano is back on the re-ride.
