2nd pick: #6 (Vow's Son) (5-1) - Even-paced type stretches back out after a wide fifth place finish at this tag going seven furlongs at Del Mar Aug. 6. Competitive a couple of times in the past at this mile distance, they came facing tougher.
3rd pick: #5 (Manning) (8-1) - Lightly-raced and well bred, he's stretching out in distance in his second start back from a five month layoff. Three-year-old by 'Malibu Moon' tired in his return Aug. 18 at Del Mar and I like that he's brought back quickly and has worked twice since. May grab a share at a big price.
4th pick: #1 (El Nino Fable) (7-2) - Harris Farm's home bred is dropping in class and is racing on the dirt for the first time. Colt has raced evenly in his first pair on the grass facing tougher and it's noted that veteran Craig Lewis has Evin Roman aboard for the first time.
