Top pick: #1 (ROSA DIVINA) (3-1) - Very lightly raced mare finished an even third racing at this tag going 5.5-furlongs on the Del Mar "poly" July 31. It was her first start in 13-months, and trainer Mike Puype has given her just over five weeks to recover. She had a bullet half-mile local work Aug. 28, and has the rail.
2nd pick: #2 (Galehorn) (7-2) - Unraced since late October of 2013, she's working steadily, and some of those drills have been on the quick side. In a top barn (John Sadler), and a win threat if ready.
3rd pick: #8 (Ava's Ballet) (4-1) - She was scratched yesterday by trainer Blake Heap to await this spot. Filly just missed (a "head") racing at Del Mar at this tag Aug. 15. A big improvement over her debut, and the extra furlong she travels today is in her favor.
4th pick: #5 (Lustrous Suances) (9-2) - In shape, and 4yo has shown early speed in her last pair. Barn (Brian Koriner) won a similar maiden race here yesterday, and that filly went gate-to-wire. She should be involved from the "get go."
