Top pick: #5 (RUNNINGWITHTHELUTE) (7-5) - The probable favorite, she takes a big drop in class and runs without blinkers for the first time. Daughter of "Midnight Lute" has shown excellent early speed facing tougher and just failed to hold on here July 10th. Much the horse to beat.
nd pick: #11 (Stored Attaq) (6-1) - Filly is on the also-eligible list and at press time it wasn't clear whether she was scratched or not. She has some early speed and in her only previous start on real dirt she finished second when debuting at Pimlico in early June. A threat if she goes.
rd pick: #7 (Sunday Stroll) (10-1) - Price play has shown early speed in all three appearances and is racing second off almost a 5-month break. She's working fast since her return effort at Del Mar Aug. 15, and can factor at long odds.
th pick: #10 (Ava's Ballet) (5-1) - Home bred rallied to miss by a "head" racing at this tag and trip at Del Mar Aug. 15th. It was only her second start and a big improvement off her debut. In the mix.
th pick: #9 (Bea's Bench) (20-1) - Daughter of "Benchmark" enters off a wide and even effort at Del Mar on Aug. 22. Capable of getting a share at a big price with just a slight move forward.
