Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (JEANA BABY) (3-1) - Like all but one, filly is lightly-raced and well bred. Daughter of 'Super Saver' cost 4100,000 as a 2-year-old in training in April of 2015. She's shown early speed in all three starts facing tougher and is dropping to a new low in class. She gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #4 (Cecile's Diamond) (5-2) - The morning line favorite, she tired last out after setting the pace March 12 at Santa Anita facing tougher. It was her first since debuting Dec 26 and she's been working fast since. Trainer Kristin Mulhall is dropping her in to a claimer and has her making back-to-back starts, both for the first time. Mulhall has won with three of her last five starters (60%) taking this particular dip in class.
3rd pick: #6 (La Galy) (7-2) - She's racing off a two month freshening and is dropping from a $100K claiming price to run for $50,000. Stretch runner is working well locally and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #5 (Midnight Swinger) (8-1) - Well backed when debuting for a $75K tag arch 17 at Santa Anita, she tired after racing close up to a quick pace. Trainer Mark Glatt ( two for four at this meet) brings her back five weeks later and drops her in class.
