It was his first since June 17 when he was re-claimed by locally based veteran Charlie Treece and seems set for a big effort at a square price.
2nd pick: #6 (Saratoga Morning) (4-1) - Three-year-old was only beaten 4 lengths sprinting on the Del Mar turf at this level Aug. 10. Competitive on the dirt in his previous start, he should love the long stretch here that is used for the afternoon thoroughbred races.
3rd pick: #4 (Isee It in Hiseyes) (8-1) - Even paced colt tired after being bumped when finishing 2.5 lengths in back of 'Saratoga Morning' on the Del Mar grass Aug. 10. He just missed here at this level sprinting on the dirt July 8 and is dangerous with a repeat of that effort.
4th pick: #1 (Old Indian Trick) (2-1) - The probable favorite, speedy and lightly-raced colt moves back to the dirt after finishing a 1/2 length in front of 'Saratoga Morning' sprinting on the Del Mar turf at this level Aug 10. Capable, but he may be under pressure today as there's other speed signed on.
