Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (BELOVED HOLIDAY) (3-1) - Well bred 3yo broke slowly before rallying to finish a close up 4th at this tag and trip Nov. 17 at Del Mar. Gelding by 'Harlan's Holiday' was claimed that afternoon by owner/trainer Ed Freeman and is brought back on short notice by the new barn. He should love the long stretch here and can run them down in the final furlong.
2nd pick: #2 (Clifton Beach) (5-2) - Colt enters off a sharp effort Nov. 17 at Del Mar. Racing at this tag and trip, he stalked while wide, made a strong bid down the stretch, and was only beaten just under a length. 4yo was in front of the slow starting 'Beloved Holiday' that afternoon and should be involved every step.
3rd pick: #4 (Pocket Personality) (7-2) - One of two making their debuts, $130K gelding by 'Hansen' runs first out for a $20K price tag. Working steadily here, he's from a capable barn (Pete Eurton), and need not be anything special to factor against this group.
4th pick: #5 (Chin Tu) (5-1) - Very wide last out at Del Mar going a mile, he had run well there in his previous sprint facing tougher. Gelding cuts back in distance and must be left in the mix.
