Only her second career start, it was her first since she was claimed for $30,000 by John Sadler Feb. 16 at Santa Anita. He brings her back quickly and daughter of 'Midnight Lute' gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Sheza Factor) (5-2) - The morning line and probable favorite, she set a fast and pressured pace before tiring to finish a distant second here at this distance June 28 for a $30K tag. It was her first start since April 22, a career best, and trainer Peter Miller drops her to a new low ($20K). An obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Star of Kobol) (6-1) - One of two entered by trainer Pete Eurton, she hasn't raced since Nov. 19. Three-year-old raced evenly in all three starts last year facing tougher and is dropping into the claiming ranks for the first time. Working steadily locally, she's a stretch threat if ready.
4th pick: #7 (Midnight Crossing) (9-2) - The second from the barn of Pete Eurton, she's one of two making their debuts. Filly has a fine local work tab on view and has breezed six times since May 25.
