2nd pick: #8 (Fab Four Ever) (7-2) - Lightly raced home bred finished 2nd at this level and distance at Del Mar July 26 in her second off a 3 1/2 month break. In her follow up start at Del Mar she raced both wide and evenly. Working fast for this attempt, and the long stretch here is a plus for her style. I almost made her the top selection.
3rd pick: #7 (Poker at Seal Rock) (6-1) - Very lightly raced, she rallied to miss by a 'head' at Sacramento July 16 racing at this level going five furlongs. It was her first ever on real dirt, and a repeat of it makes her a threat.
4th pick: #6 (Kantina Kowgirl) (3-1) - Nice effort Aug. 29th at Del Mar saw her rally to finish 2nd of 12, beaten a length racing at this tag and trip. It was her best overall since switching barns in early June, and she's a late threat in today's opener.
