He's taking a big drop in class and is racing with blinkers on for trainer Doug O'Neill. He's worked this home bred by 'Tiznow' six times since Oct. 20 and he seems set for a big effort.
2nd pick: #5 (Old School Ike) (9-5) - The morning line favorite, he's stretching out in distance in his second back from a 2 1/2 month layoff. He rallied to finish a distant 2nd at this tag going six furlongs at Del Mar Nov. 16 and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Convexity) (6-1) - Barn (John Sadler) is off to a fast start here going 5-2-2-0 during the first three days of the meet. This son of 'Lookin At Lucky' was away slowly and showed little when debuting at this distance facing tougher on the Del Mar turf Nov. 24. Sadler (24% second time out), brings him back quickly, drops him in class, and moves him from grass to dirt.
4th pick: #2 (Big and Loud) (5-2) - Clearly the main speed, $120K purchase runs today for a $30K tag. His best race came here when he debuted sprinting Sept. 24. He'll take them as far as he can.
