This son of "Broken Vow" finished a strong second at Santa Anita March 13 in the San Felipe (G2) and the winner of that contest (Sidney's Candy) came back last Saturday to go wire-to-wire in the Santa Anita Derby(G1). Speed/stalker draws an advantageous outside post on this surface and he's the top selection. Colt is one of a pair from Pletcher and they'll race as separate interests.
2nd pick: #4 (Make Music For Me) - West Coast invader raced well last year in several important stakes without the benefit of a maiden win. That issue was taken care of in his 2010 debut when he won a small turf stakes at Santa Anita March 6. 3rd pick: #8 (Aikenite) - The second of the Pletcher pair ran his best race ever last fall on this surface when he was narrowly beaten in the Breeder's Futurity"(G1) by one of the favorites in today's Arkansas Derby(G1) "Noble's Promise". This son of "Yes It's True" finished a very "troubled" third last out in the "Fountain of Youth" stakes (G2) to his stable-mate "Eskendereya" who went on to take the "Wood Memorial"(G1) last Saturday at Aqueduct. Contender.
