'Long winded' type ships from Woodbine where he finished third in the G1 Northern Dancer Stakes going 12 furlongs Sept. 14. A winner here in his only previous local start on April 22 of 2018, strong finisher gets a slight edge in a contest where should definitely box your bets.
2nd pick: #6 (Postulation) (4-1) - This veteran gelding missed by a 'neck' going 12 furlongs at Laurel in the Japan Turf Cup Sept. 28. 7yo had won a minor stakes at that same distance Aug 31 in Monmouth in his first start in 8.5 months and is dangerous in this spot.
3rd pick: #4 (Nakamura) (7-2) - Much improved since coming off a six month layoff in early May, stretch runner has won three of four since then and was only a 'neck' behind 'Postulate' at Laurel Sept. 28. In career-best form, this 4yo by 'Animal Kingdom' must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #2 (Midnight Tea Time) (8-1) - Longshot has much more early speed than our top three selections and was only a 'neck' in back of 'Nakamura' going 11 furlongs Aug.17 at Saratoga. A winner at Kentucky Downs in his follow up at a mile Sept. 5, he's a major player and should be involved every step at a big price.
