Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (HONEST MISCHIEF) (8-5) - A lightly raced Juddmonte home bred, son of 'Into Mischief' has bee freshened up since tiring while wide to finish a distant third to 'Shancelot, who won by 12.5 lengths in Saratoga's Amsterdam Stakes (G2) July 28. Working steadily for this attempt for Chad Brown, colt was a very impressive maiden winner here at this distance April 6.
2nd pick: #7 (Airtouch) (2-1) - This very lightly raced 4yo by 'Tapit' sold for $450,000 as a yearling back in 2016. He missed by a 'nose' debuting at this trip Aug. 12 of 2017 at Saratoga, then did not race again for 24.5 months. He broke his maiden in his return at the Spa Aug. 31 and is facing winners and making back-to-back starts, both for the first time.
3rd pick: #6 (American Mandate) (6-1) - Speedy colt is one of two entered by Steve Asmussen and the pair race uncoupled. He's been on the sidelines since tiring here while wide on a muddy track April 20. He had gone 6-1-4-1 up to that point, is training fast, and is a serious threat if ready.
4th pick: #5 (Uber Kirk) (10-1) - The field's most experienced runner, he's also the lone multiple winner and has done so four times. He rallied to finish third at this level going 6 furlongs at Churchill Downs Sept. 14 in his first start since June 21. A fast and/or contested pace would help his late running style out.
