Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (TRUE EGYPTIAN) (9-2) - Well bred filly had no chance in her debut at Gulfstream. Racing at this level going seven furlongs, she was bumped hard coming out of the gate forcing her almost to her knees. Home bred by 'Pioneer of the Nile' has breezed four times since and is dropping a bit in class for her second attempt. She meets a weak field for the $75K tag and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #9 (Soul Savior) (5-1) - Daughter of 'Medaglia d'Oro' is switching from grass to dirt, is dropping in class, and is shortening up in distance. She raced evenly in her dirt debut March 12 at Santa Anita then had some traffic issues here on the turf April 9.
3rd pick: #7 (Temple Tantrum) (5-1) - Turfway shipper set a pressured pace before weakening to finish second there on the all-weather surface April 3. It was her first race since debuting on the Ellis Park turf Aug 29. Filly is dangerous if she handles the conventional dirt here.
4th pick: #5 (Street Smart) (10-1) - Longshot hasn't run since Sep 6 at Ellis Park. Well bred filly is working steadily and has been facing tougher fields than this. The layoff is a long one for a 4-year-old, so a small slice at a big price may be in the offing.
