Top pick: #4 (JUDY THE BEAUTY) (2-1) - The probable favorite, "Judy" has been expertly managed her entire career by owner/trainer Wesley Ward and she's won on turf, dirt, and "poly." Mare by "Ghostzapper" is at her best 5-4-1-0 on synthetic courses and is undefeated on this surface 3-for-3. In career best form, she's working fast locally and has beaten tougher fields than this in the past.
2nd pick: #9 (Eden Prairie) (10-1) - Longshot has been freshened up since a pair of sharp efforts earlier this year on the Fair Grounds turf. Capable on "poly," she missed by only a "neck" here at this distance last October in the "Raven Run" stakes (G2). Has a shot at a big price.
3rd pick: #8 (Cozze Up Lady) (20-1) - Another that will be a big price, this hard-hitting mare by "Cozzene" rallied from far back to win an "off the turf" sprint stakes at The Fair Grounds March 4th. It was her first start since late June when she won a G3 stakes at this distance on a similar surface at Arlington Park. She won here a year ago and has a chance at long odds.
4th pick: #3 (Heir Kitty) (15-1) - Cal. shipper has sharp early speed and became a G1 winner when taking the "La Brea" stakes at this distance in late Dec. at Santa Anita. Capable on synthetics 6-2-2-0, this will be her first start outside the So. Cal circuit.
