Top pick: #5 (MAFAAZ) - Winner of the first "Kentucky Derby Challenge" race in England, he brings an undefeated record on "synthetic" surfaces to the contest. Beautifully-bred, has great human connections, and last year this colt was only two lengths behind "Breeder's Cup Juvenile Turf" winner "Donativum" in a grass race with a big field. Jockey Richard Hills makes the trip over and believe this colt can win this at a square price.
2nd pick: #10 (Hold Me Back) - Seasonal and three-year-old debut couldn't have been more impressive as he came from behind on March 21, to win the "Lanes End" stakes at Turfway Park. He showed plenty of talent last year at two and could improve even more today. Draws a tough post, but a recent fast drill on this surface indicates that he won't "bounce."
3rd pick: #4 (Cliffy's Future) - Looked great on the "Lanes End" undercard with a powerful win coming from well back with a sweeping move, something that's not the norm on the Turfway course. In a good barn (Darrin Miller) he'll take on a tougher group today.
