Top pick: #12 (DOCTOR VICKIE LYNN) (9-2) - Daughter of "Elusive Quality" has been competitive in the majority of her starts, all on the grass facing tougher. Trainer Ken McPeek drops her into a claimer and has her on a synthetic surface, both for the first time. Filly is working fast locally and gets a slight edge.

2nd pick: #2 (Flashy Bertie) (5-1) - Home-bred had traffic issues in her debut, then tired after chasing the place while wide in her lates. Both of those came facing special weights on the turf and trainer Steve Margolis will drop her into a claimer and has her running on a "poly" surface this afternoon.

3rd pick: #6 (Fancy Hat) (5-1) - Lightly-raced daughter of "Eddington" has been freshened up since Aug. 17 where she finished close up on the Ellis Park grass. A good small barn (Tom Drury) has her spotted well and she's shown more speed than most.

4th pick: #4 (Dr Sprinkles) (4-1) - In the dangerous barn of Mike Maker, filly tired in her debut sprinting on the Churchill dirt on Sept. 15. Barn drops her down, stretches her out in distance, and switches her to a synthetic surface.

5th pick: #5 (Party Starter) (9-2) - Delaware invader chased and held to finish second there in a dirt sprint on Sept. 2. In a good barn (Mike Matz) and this 4-year-old by "Medaglia d'Oro" has worked fast locally for her second back from a 19 month layoff.
