Premium Pick

Top pick: #9 (FRANCISCA) - She's improved in both starst since racing wide and evenly in her debut at the Fair Grounds Feb. 5. Daughter of "Mizzen Mast" finished third there on March 31st and did so racing with blinkers on in a large field (12) from a tough post (12th of 12). Working fast since shipping here and J.J. Castellano will climb aboard today.

2nd pick: #12 (Summer Flirt) - Daughter of "Bernardini" cost $410,000 and made her debut March 15th at Gulfstream when she made a bid and tired in an "off the turf" contest on a very sloppy track. Race should help her conditioning out and her trainer (Bill Mott) is always better second-time out.

3rd pick: #1 (Lady Kierkegaard) - Filly is one of two entered by trainer Chris Clement and the pair will race as separate interests. She was beaten 2 1/2 lengths by today's rival "Mission", but has more room for upside than that filly. Has the inside post and should show whatever she has in this spot.

4th pick: #11 (Irish Mission) - Big effort at Gulfstream March 29th saw her miss by a neck at this level on the grass going 9 furlongs. By far her best to date and this daughter of "Giant's Causeway" has a pair of sharp works since shipping to Kentucky.
