Top pick: #7 (BALTHAZAR) (5-2) - Peachtree home-bred has run well in both starts at this level racing at Gulfstream and showed some improved early interest last out after breaking from a tough post in his debut. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (North Tip) (12-1) - Debuting son of "Broke Vow" has been in training sice January and trainer Michelle Nihei has worked him a half-dozen times since March 1st. Some of the drills are well above average and Rosie Napravnix is aboard.
3rd pick: #6 (Cantinero) (4-1) - Gelding has gone (3-0-0-2) at Gulfstream has shown a good late kick in his last pair. In the Ward barn and he has him training steadily for his first start since Feb. 24.
4th pick: #5 (It's Time to Reign) (8-1) - Colt rallied to finish second at Gulfstream when facing weaker on March 22nd. Race was his first ever on the grass and trainer Mike Matz moves him up in class and adds blinkers.
