Top pick: #3 (CAIRO SIX) - Colt has been competitive in his first pair (both on the grass) and this $200K son of "Stormy Atlantic" shuld be dead fit after running on the undulating Kentucky Downs course last out. Excellent trainer/jockey team of Larry Jones & Rosie Napravnik wins at a 27% rate when teamed up.
2nd pick: #11 (Guess My Name) - Debuting son of "Giant's Causeway" has 10 published drills since early August and almost all are well above average. Home-bred is in a capable first out barn (Mike Stidham) and looks well-prepared.
3rd pick: #1 (Gentleman's Kitten) - Originally part of an entry due to common ownership, trainer Wayne Catalano will go it alone with this son of "Kitten's Joy" who was heavily bet in his debut, but showed nothing after a slow break. Stretches-out in distance and should be much sharper.
4th pick: #7 (Batten the Hatches) - He finished second when sprinting on the Ellis Park turf when debuting Aug. 24, then tired when switched to the dirt at Hoosier Park a month later. He's worked fast since and stretches-out for the first time.
