Top pick: #10 (ATLANTIC TAP) - Heavily bet in her debut here at this distance on April 6th, she had to be sent hard from her inside post and tired late after being involved in a pace-duel up front. Daughter of "Stormy Atlantic" has since come back with a bullet 5 furlong breeze and she'll move out in the gate. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Mana Pools) - Home-bred filly by "Gone West" raced evenly when debuting on the Fair Grounds dirt March 30th. She has a pair of impressive local works since arriving here and trainer Mike Stidham wins at a solid 22% rate 2nd time out.
3rd pick: #5 (Fast Bobbi J) - She closed from far back to finish 2nd, beaten a length in the same race as "Atlantic". Clearly better on "poly", she also ran 2nd here last fall at this trip when debuting in late Oct. Stretch threat.
4th pick: #11 (Cheery) - Claiborne Farms home-bred finished a solid 4th in her debut at Oaklawn Park on a sloppy track March 11th. Heavily bet that day, daughter of "Distorted Humor" is training fast locally and she's in a great small barn (Al Stall Jr.).
