Top pick: #9 (MEG'S GIRL) (3-1) - Consistent filly has gone 7-1-3-2 since early Sept. and last out rallied to finish a distant second when racing here at this level and distance on May 29th. It was her second back off a half-year's absence and this one-run type has a lot of "cheap" speed to track and run past down the stretch.
2nd pick: #1 (Miss Bobbie) (7-2) - She exits the same May 29th contest as "Meg" and finished third of 10, just over two back of that rival. From a good barn (owner/trainer Gary Patrick), and this filly breaks from the rail. Can factor with her best.
3rd pick: #4 (Batesburg) (5-1) - No-speed type drops down after rallying to finish a non-threatenig fourth here on May 14th when facing tougher. Race was her first since Oct. 13th, encouraging, and she drops down for this. A fast/and or contested pace would be to her benefit.
4th pick: #5 (Misty Jo) (8-1) - "Jo" has returned from a 6 1/2 month layoff a much better filly and has won 2-of-3 since coming back. Speed/stalker fits and can factor at a square price if she holds her form with this step up in class.
