Top pick: #5 (ARTFUL LADY) (5-2) - Daughter of turf champ "Artie Schiller" comes off a career best when she finished third of 10, beaten four lengths racing at Ellis park July 14th. Solid effort came second off an eight week freshening, and a very sharp barn (Steve Margolis) has worked him twice since.
2nd pick: #1 (K to the Croft) (8-1) - Price play runs first off a Brad Cox claim (a strong 31% winning angle). Well-bred filly has some ability, draws the inside post, and can factor at square odds.
3rd pick: #3 (Kari Azaria) (8-5) - The probable favorite, she was competitive here earlier in the meet facing tougher, and drops down off almost a two month break. Working fine off-site, and a win candidate at a short price.
4th pick: #2 (Wild About Me) (9-2) - La-bred filly raced evenly when finishing third at the Fair Grounds facing fellow state-breds on March 23rd. On the sidelines since, home-bred is working okay at Churchill, and is a threat with her best.
