Top pick: #12 (SOLOMON'S SUN) (3-1) - Gelding has been competitive in both sprints on the dirt and a very good marn (Kellyn Gorder) will switch him to the grass and stretch him out in distance. Trainer wins at a 21% rate on the change to a longer trip and 3-year-old meets a very weak field.
nd pick: #8 (Head for the Exits) (8-1) - Nicely-bred gelding finished third here at this level sprinting on the dirt on June 14th and has been working fast at Churchill for his first on the grass. Strong win candidate.
rd pick: #14 (Summah) (10-1) - Colt is on the also-eligible list and needs a pair of scratches to compete. Owned/trained/and bred by Mike Laurer and he's been having a strong meet. 3-year-old is a threat if he draws in.
th pick: #3 (Call Me Tiz) (5-1) - Son of "Tiznow" hasn't raced since he showed nothing when debuting at Hoosier Park in late Oct. of 2011. Four-year-old is working fine and could impact if ready.
th pick: #2 (Could Be Michael) (30-1) - He's the type that could "run all day" and may pass enough late to grab a slice at a very big price.
