Top pick: #11 (MAJESTIC CITY) - He tired after setting the pace in the (G1) Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf on Nov. 5 and is moved back to a synthetic surface and will run with blinkers off. Colt is (5-3-1-1) on "poly" and is a perfect 3-for-3 locally. Working very fast for this and Dominguez is in for the ride.
2nd pick: #9 (Liaison ) - One of three entered here by the Baffert barn and the trio will race uncoupled. Colt by "Indian Charlie" has won two in a row and took the Real Quiet Stakes on this surface five weeks ago. Working fast and a contender.
3rd pick: #10 (Cozzetti) - Longshot ships west off a maiden win at Churchill on a sloppy track Nov. 16. Grey son of the famous "Cozzene" is improving, is in a good barn (Dale Romans) and can factor if he handles the surface.
4th pick: #1 (Handsome Mike) - Sold privately following a second-place finish here in a turf stakes Nov. 27, he has excellent early speed, the rail and trainer Doug O'Neill has brought in Corey Nakatani for the mount. Speed did well here this week.
