Top pick: #5 (CAPE TRUTH) - Accustomed to facing tougher this colt will drop down into a career soft spot and is working fast for his first race since Nov 11. He's run well here in the past and he's trainer Mike Puype is having a strong meet. They reach out to Gomez so that indicates that they like his chances.
2nd pick: #7 (Bestdressed) - Another who's taking a very big drop and will do so off almost a 5 month layoff. Formerly stakes winner has never raced this low before, but his lack of speed is a bit of a concern. Can certainly factor if ready and at this level he should be competitive.
3rd pick: #8 (Big Bad Leroybrown) - Working very fast for his first race since late Oct he's always liked this surface (11-2-3-3) and he draws a nice post for this distance. Certainly capable at this tag, but he'll have to be at his best to contend for the win.
