Top pick: #1 (FLASHY DAME) - Price play finished a solid third here last Dec. to the very talented "Reneesgotzip" and will come into this off a pace-chasing fourth-place finish at Santa Anita going a mile on the turf March 31st. Daughter of "Afleet Alex" has since come back with a local half-mile bullet work on April 20th and she'll be cutting back in distance and switching to the "poly".
2nd pick: #2 (With a Miracle) - The probable favorite, she set a fast and pressured pace at Santa Anita March 29th and was beaten by a nose in the last stride. She's been competitive on both dirt and turf and will be racing on a synthetic for the first time.
3rd pick: #8 (Miner's Daughter) - Debuting filly by "Mineshaft" has been in steady training on this surface since mid-February and trainer Bob Baffert has his main rider (Marty Garcia) aboard. The works are solid as is Baffert's 28% winning rate with first time starters. Trainer comes off his ninth title at Santa Anita and this 4-year-old looks set for initial outing.
